you can organize it!

We will support you

*your area ... inside or outside Spain; we can help you organize coursesin any (do-able) place, and we will always search for the most localteachers, who speak the native language and always, wherever possible,who know the bioregion in the most practical way. Where there are nosuch teacher/s, we will do our best to train them.

The multiple advantages of being a course Organizer are:

The course/s that you organize is free for you.

If you have already done the course, you can gift one place on the course to whomever you like.

, in various ways:

a) thecourse is designed to support the place where it is held - and theOrganizer chooses the site: it can be held in your project (yourproject can be your bio-region) or in any other project that you wishto support. The course will leave a design done by the participants +some fisical improvements + 8% of the income of the course (for water,light, etc. expenses). The courses are adapted as much as possible tothe site, and the Organizer is the one who determines the needs, thereasons for having a course there, etc. - in other words, is the first'client' for the design of the course;

b) creatinga support group for you and your project: we encourage all courses tocreate one or more support groups, and we teach how to run them (thelack of support groups is the most common reason why projects havedifficulties or fail)

c) each course leaves a donation of 10% of the income to the PermaCulture project chosen by the Organizer (normally your own)

It is a very intensive action learning but also with much support for working in a self-directed way, organising griops, experiencing leadership and working in a team:

a)the organizers groups support and encourage each other mutually, theyhave a monthly meeting by email + also personal support - it´s a verysatisfying experience of working in an international permaculture team

b)they have a virtual office for downloading all the documents that theyneed for their work, and an interesting experience of working viainternet

c) you have all the time you wish to organize your course (you choose thedates, as well as the other parameters): you do it at your rhythm, andif it doesn´t work the first time, it's ok: when there are 10+ peopleenrolled, we do the course, if there aren´t , we just try other dates.

It is a very gratifying and inspiring experience ofworking seriously in a team of very wonderful and dedicated people whoare spreding PermaCulture in a very concrete and real way, andsupporting other projects - in other words, changing the world. We arewaiting for you!

Allthe organizers up to now (including those who had much previousexperience as organizers!) have commented that being an Organizers ofthe Academy was a very significant and positive experience for them.

REQUIREMENTS

No previous experience is required, only a great wish to have aPermaCulture course for you, and that you have Internet acces: the restcan be learned on the job.
